At the heart of the Christian faith is this command from John the Baptist: "Behold, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world" (Jn. 1:29).
That strange little word, "behold," which is used repeatedly in the Bible, sums up God's gracious invitation to be transformed by the beauty of who God is and what God has done.
Divine beauty is like no beauty that this world has to offer, although it is fully at home in this world made by the divine Artist.
In this eight week class, we will explore the biblical foundation for the idea that God is Beauty, and will discuss how God might transform our lives as we begin to see (behold!) the world as God sees it.
