KidTrek: a fun, creative, and interactive ministry where children and families embark on a journey following Christ.
KidTrek is more than a great building and an engaging program. We are a community who loves kids, moms and dads. Our vision is to equip future generations one home at a time, one child at a time, to live for Christ for a lifetime. Stepping Stone Classes
Parents are invited to come to Sunday School with each of their child(ren) one time a year. On these Stepping Stone Sundays, our prayer is that your family will bring age appropriate tools home, to more confidently lead your child(ren) spiritually.
Our fourth and fifth graders, along with their parents, are invited to attend a four week class that explains the meaning and symbols behind the sacraments. The tour of the Sanctuary is not to be missed!
Kindergarten Blessing Ceremony
A meaningful Sunday morning event, where parents are lead in a blessing ceremony with their child.
3rd Grade Bible Sunday
A special dedication time during a Sunday morning service, when parents present their 3rd grader with a Bible.
Father Daughter Dance
This memory-making dance is an enchanted evening for dads and daughters of all ages each February. You do not want to miss this!
Spring Party and Egg Hunt
A joy-filled and glorified Easter egg hunt where friends and neighbors hunt, eat, sing, serve, and create special treasures. A great time had by all.
An end of the year celebration in May with food, games, bouncy houses, pony rides, and more! Held at First Pres. Free.
Summer Grade Parties
All Elementary children are invited to attend a FUN party with their friends from their grade.
Fifth Grade Milestone
Our sendoff dinner event for all outgoing fifth graders and their parents. Held each August before school starts.
Though we offer Sunday School year round, children are always welcome to join parents in the Sanctuary. There are a few services a year called “Family Sunday” which means that children (first-fifth grades) join their parents in the Sanctuary rather than have their own programming. Note: We will still have KidTrek for birth-Kindergarten at ALL services.
All first through fifth graders are invited to participate in the week long camp. In addition to learning and performing a musical, kids will play crazy games, learn more about God through daily dramas, enjoy some art time with crafts and make new friends while talking over snacks. As in the past, all registered 5th graders can audition for a speaking role.
Mini Music Camp
We will also be making music the same week. This smaller version of music camp is perfect for 4 year olds through graduated Kindergartners. Kids will learn the music for a fun musical which they will perform. Games, crafts, snacks, music and story time are all chosen just for this age group.
High energy, high impact – this camp is open to children 4 through 11 years of age. Recreational level skills are taught in flag football, cheers, basketball, and soccer. A daily Bible lesson is taught using sport stories to illustrate the theme as well. Kids love this week if sports, singing, friends and Jesus!
