This year, we're offering four ways for you to receive our daily devotionals via:
Lent is a season to reflect on our union with Jesus Christ in his death and resurrection. It is also a time to respond to God in devotion, gratitude, rest, repentance, love, and faithfulness for his gift of forgiveness and new life in Christ through the Holy Spirit.
One of the treasures of this devotional is that it was written by our church family for our church family. My hope is that these forty personal and holy offerings will help tune your heart and mind to the Lord during this season of Lent. Each day you will be invited to reflect on a passage from the Gospel of John – or one of a variety of other Biblical texts – and then to respond to God’s living Word in one way or another.
My prayer for you and for our whole church is that this season will draw us deeper into fellowship with the Lord and with one another, and that our growing love will change the way we live in the world.
A huge thanks to all of our contributors and to Lindsey Smallwood, our beloved former Women’s Ministries Director, who helped edit and design this work all the way from Michigan. How beautiful is the body of Christ!
Praying that this Lenten Season will be rich and significant for you and for all of us,
Jane Filkin, Pastor of Discipleship & Community
Thank you to D&K Printing and Gary and Tyler Bennett for their contributions to this project.
