Something New This Year!
We are welcoming all students 7th grade thru 12th grade to Salt & Light this year! The goal of S&L is to build a welcoming community among the students and foster a closer walk with Jesus through devotionals and discussions. Salt and Light Choir participates in worship at the 10:45am Contemporary Worship service approximately twice per month. We also participate in the annual First Pres Glory of Christmas celebration and go on tour during Spring Break. In addition, we will be sharing our love by participating in community service projects such as, singing at Boulder Manor, assisting at Community Food Share, delivering pumpkins to families and helping at Columbine Work Day.
We sing and have fun each week on Sundays. We begin at 11:45am and have an awesome lunch together in the choir room (prepared by our families and others who love us).
At 11:15am we begin our rehearsal, and we sing until 1:45pm. We do a variety of music genres focusing mainly on contemporary music. Join us! We're always welcoming new people.
Spring Break Tour
Every year over Spring Break we go on Tour. It's a different and exciting location every time and it varies from Seattle to Washington, D.C. to Chattanooga to Scotland. For Spring Break 2017 we will travel to Disneyland! Our route takes us south to Santa Fe, the Grand Canyon, then to California via Route 66. If you love to sing, join us!
We have four totally rad Choir Council parents: Karen Cobb, Amy Engelhardt, Mary Maxwell and Guida Rettig. We appreciate all they do for us!
